Exciting news! Every week a new host and new Portuguese chef!

Our social pods are expanding to create more opportunities for you to connect with new members and forge meaningful relationships. These are intimate spaces where designed to bring people together, allowing you to share your stories and find common ground to help bridge gaps and most importantly foster human connection. And, of course, what better way to foster human connection than over delicious, eclectic cuisine? So book yourself a seat!

Filipe Camacho born and raised in the enchanting Madeira Islands, our chef’s love affair with food was sparked at a young age and it was in the kitchen where he found a sanctuary of boundless creativity and continual growth.

Prepare your taste buds for a tantalizing journey through the depths of the ocean! Madeirense cuisine is deeply rooted in the island’s connection to the sea, offering an array of seafood delicacies that will transport you to a world of new flavors and textures.

Join him on a gastronomic journey like no other and discover the magic of Madeira through his delicious dishes.

4th of April: THE CHEF : the Duo JOY FOOD EXPERIENCES

 

Joy Food Experiences offers menus with the goal of translating ideas and emotions into food to connect people to themselves, to each other and to nature.

Joana and Alice are the duo that compose this project and both come from families with a culinary background and eclectic paths. They studied fine arts and their approach to food and the world is from that creative point of view.

​Their exploration in the food’s anthropologistic role in life and it’s emotional dimension have become their main focus, expect a meal to inspire you about Portuguese food culture along the way as well as bring a performative experience to the table.

Awi Gupta, one our members will be the host for the evening.

This Week’s Member Projects

This week, we’re highlighting a project of our beloved co-founder, Mel Miles. As a former investment portfolio manager at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Mel knows what it’s like to grind at work and experience burnout. Her book Soulcation: Design a Life You Don’t Need A Vacation From, which was published last year, is one-part memoir, one-part instruction manual on how to bring the qualities you love about vacation into your daily life!
