OneThousandClub January Wrap-Up!
It’s time to gather once again as a growing community to create meaningful connections between Portuguese and foreigners!
Tonight, we’ll have the entire Flores da Pampa to ourselves. Inside the plant-filled and cozy natural oasis, we’ll have freshly and locally sourced snacks filling the tables, and you’ll get two drink tickets to enjoy Portugal’s natural wine.

And of course, evening will include drinks, festive food, a live concert from Portuguese musicians, and connection games to inspire soulful conversation with new members.

Meet our Community Manager!
Tara Li Amber, joined the team this month as our community manager. Born to a dutch father and a bosnian mother and raised in Portugal, speaks portuguese like a local.
After working for many year as a manager of a fashion brand she decided to reroute her direction into her biggest passion: food. Founded her own food concept – a food truck of fries & margaritas.
She will be leading operations for our community including communications, dinners, events and future partnerships.

This month, we will have the private chef of Sebze Lisboa serving up a three-course Turkish feast. After living in Istanbul, Turkey for six years, chef Alexandra Corrine and her Turkish husband launched Sebze as a way to bring Turkish food to the Lisbon community. Alexandra will come with a selection of Portuguese wines and Turkish teas to fill the table.
The meal will take place in the famous “Lapa Case” (i.e. the home of one of cofounder Mel Miles at the original table where the OneThousandClub idea was born). Bring a jacket, as we may start with drinks on the balcony overlooking the river, then sit down for an intimate private dinner.
