Becoming a Membership
You will need to complete our online application, which includes personal information (a photo, IG, & LinkedIn) and five open-ended questions to get to know how you align with our values of curiosity, connection, and impact. Applicants are highly encouraged to put some thought into each response, although it shouldn’t take more than 10-15 minutes to complete.
Given we only have 1000 seats, we can’t let everyone in. Our team reviews every application and you will be notified of your status within 48 hours. We strive to keep a balance between the number of Local and International members at all times. However, a majority of applicants that express alignment with our mission receive a seat!
Membership includes access to the community group chat, our members’ networking platform, and supports drink tickets at our monthly party. Each event also has a ticket price to cover food and beverage costs, depending on the event.
We accept credit and debit cards only. We ask for a 3 month commitment when you join. Charges will be automatically made every 30 days after subscription begins for the monthly membership, and once a year for the annual membership.
We require a 3-month membership commitment, then you can cancel anytime thereafter. We also offer the option to pause your membership for up to 3-months (once per year) if travel or life circumstances prevent you from attending events.
You can expect to pay between €10-€65 for tickets, depending on the experience and if dinner and/or an open bar are included.
All of our events are private and exclusively for members only. Occasionally, we do let members bring a +1 to an event.
We foster lifelong friendships and meaningful connection, which requires long-term commitment to a community. Our club is for people living permanently in a city and committed to making that city their home.
Once You’re A Member
Club tradition is all new members attend a free ‘Welcome Dinner” hosted by club co-founders and ambassadors. Here you will get to meet 8-10 other new members and learn more about the club. You will also get access to our online members’ and booking platform and private WhatsApp group.
Our online platform is the single source of information on all club happenings. In addition, each Monday you’ll receive an email newsletter announcing upcoming events (please check your spam folder if you’re new to the club). We will also send a weekly WhatsApp to our members-only group with club highlights.

The primary language for all events is English, however foreign members also enjoy speaking/ practicing the local language.
Our seats our for those who live permanently in a city and want to invest in the community so members must spend a majority of their time in the city where they joined. However, we offer the option to pause your membership for up to 3-months (once per year) if travel or life circumstances prevent you from attending events.
If you cancel your membership, you won’t be able to return to the club for 6 months.
The goal of OneThousandClub is to form genuine connections as humans first, and professionals second. With that said, our community thrives off of exchange in knowledges, services, and connections and there is a world of opportunity among members. We ask that if you promote your business, you do so respectfully & within our community guidelines. Remember, our community thrives when we all give as much as we get.
Events
We will refund any ticket sale that is canceled at least 48 hours before the event. After that, we cannot provide a refund as we pay the chefs in advance.
Our payment platform takes up to 10 business days to process the refund.
No, we are a members-only club and don’t allow guests who are not members.
You can reschedule by logging into the event page and choosing a new date. Rescheduling is allowed up to 48 hours in advance, after which you cannot change we have already paid for your spot. In order to book another date, you will need to pay €40
We encourage all of our members with space for 6-10 people to host a dinner (we provide a private chef + wine, all you need to do is pick a discussion question & create the vibe at your house). The hosting form is here.
Our club mission is to create a diverse community. While we have equal seats for both foreigners and locals, we sell our tickets to the entire community, so sometimes a dinner may have more or less of each group.
Referral Program
When you refer a friend, and they become a member staying with us for more than 3 months, you receive a complimentary Event Ticket valued up to 50€.
Simply provide as many details as possible about the recommending member (full name and email) when signing up.
There is currently no limit the number of people you can refer. This will change as we get closer to 1000 members in a city.
Contact the OTC team through email or WhatsApp, and we will assist you in booking your complimentary ticket. Your enjoyment is our priority!
Coffee Buddies FAQs
“Coffee Buddies” is an initiative that leverages AI to pair you with another club member who shares similar interests. This monthly program aims to foster meaningful 1:1 connections and provide an opportunity for members to meet for coffee or a casual conversation.
Our AI algorithm carefully analyzes the information provided in the compatibility form to match you with a fellow member who shares common interests and capabilities.
Upon successful sign-up, you will receive a confirmation email. This email will acknowledge your participation in the program and provide details about the matching schedule
You will receive your match notification on the first Wednesday of each month. This is your signal that it’s time to connect with your new coffee buddy!
If you’re unable to meet this month or wish to opt-out temporarily, simply log in to your profile before the matching day and select the relevant option.
Once you receive your match via email, it’s up to you to coordinate and find a mutually convenient time to meet for coffee or have a casual conversation.
You can update your preferences or profile information at any time by logging into your account.
To opt-out for the current month or make changes to your profile, simply log in to your account and follow the provided options.
