We believe magic happens around the table. That’s why Our Dinners at Home spark inspiring and intimate connections among our curated group of members.
Each week, members gather in homes with a private chef to discuss a single question that matters.
NOTE: Hosting is for members only.
— This idea started in 2021 around the co-founder Mel’s dinner table, where she invited 6 strangers for dinner each week.
These dinners remain a core to how the community connects Portuguese and Foreigners together.
We arrange the chef and sell tickets, all you need to do is select a question and welcome your guests.

F.A.Q
As a host, your job is primarily to facilitate connection. The chef will take care of all the cooking and cleaning (you will just need to coordinate with them for their arrival and use of kitchen equipment). You will guide introductions when members first arrive, and facilitate a conversation on the question or topic you selected for the night. That’s all!

Dinners are exclusive for OneThousandClub members only (if not yet a member, apply here: Apply here: https://onethousandclub.com/register-new/).
We open up ticket sales using a private members-only link for any member to book. Typically members select dinners based on the topic or chef of interest. As the host you will get to review the guest list in advance, and can always promote your dinner to those in the club you know, but the invitation is open to the entire community.
OneThousandClub works with a number of chefs based on availability. We cannot guarantee a specific chef, but will make sure to send a private chef that can accommodate all personal dietary preference (e.g. vegetarian, vegan).
The team will send the draft Dinner at Home ticket page for your dinner for review. However, after it’s published and tickets have been purchases.
